How much does it cost?
The cost to rent The Lovett Inn varies depending on the day and time of function.

Can I bring my own caterer?
We can coordinate your function using our recommended catering service, or you may bring in your own caterer. We do require, however, that all caterers must be licensed and insured.

How can I reserve the space?
In order to secure a date, we require a nonrefundable 50% deposit. The balance will then be due 90 days prior to your function.

How long do I have for the space?
The specific times for rental are listed on your contract. We do allow an hour before and an hour after your rental time for cleanup. Set-up and clean-up hours cannot be used to extend your function.

Do you allow liquor?
The Lovett Inn does not carry a liquor license, but you are able to bring in your own liquor at no extra charge from the inn. Be aware of your responsibilities in serving liquor and what liabilities you may incur.

How many people can the inn hold?
Lovett Inn can host parties up to 60 people using both indoors and outdoors. For receptions there is seating for up to 60 people indoors and 40 outdoors under a tent. We can seat 60 for an outdoor ceremony and up to 50 for an indoor ceremony.

What type of entertainment is allowed?
The inn allows all types of entertainment. However, no outdoor entertainment is permitted after 10:00 p.m., and all city sound ordinances must be observed. The Inn reserves the right to control noise levels to conform to these ordinances.

What is included in the rental?
The areas available for rental are : the lower level of the Inn, the pool area and gazebo area. We also furnish ten 48" round tables, four 6'x30", eight 6'x18" rectangular tables and 60 indoor chairs. We do not have outdoor chairs or linens for our tables.

Is there a damage deposit?
A $500 separate deposit is required and due prior to your event. This deposit is for damage, cleanup, or any charges that may be incurred during your function. If no charges are incurred, your deposit will be returned.

Who cleans up?
The Inn, as part of your rental, takes care of general housekeeping. You (or your caterer) will be responsible for all cleanup of decorations, food, and beverages.

Will we needsecurity?
The Inn does not require - but strongly suggests - security at your function. We feel it is especially necessary when alcohol is being served. We recommend Houston Police.

Is there parking?
The Lovett Inn has used street parking for over 1,000 functions. Lovett Boulevard and surrounding streets are mostly commerical and have ample parking for your guest on weekdays and weekends. Valet parking may be used as well.

Is there a kitchen availble?
There is not a commercial kitchen available. Generally, when the facility is rented, we assume you or your caterer will prepare the food in an off-site kitchen and it will be brought in ready to serve. The Lovett Inn kitchen is available for a staging/light preparation area.

Can we dance?
Dancing is permitted poolside and inside the building if a portable dancefloor is rented. However, no dancing or entertainment is permitted in the garden-gazebo area.

Who decorates the inn?
Once you have rented the inn, you may decorate it any way you would like . You are responsible for removing all decorations during your rental/clean-up time. All decorations must be discarded in our commercial trash receptacle. Glitter, confetti and birdseed are not permissible. Items cannot be floated in the pool.
